Konrad Adenauer was Chancellor of Germany. The Berlin Wall was not yet built. When InterFinanz was founded in 1958, much was different from today - and the term M&A was a foreign concept even in the business community. But not for Dr h.c. Walter Scheel, Gerhard Kienbaum and Prof. Dr Dr h.c. Carl Zimmerer, the renowned founders of InterFinanz, who would not have imagined that in 50 years’ time their company would be among the world’s leading M&A consulting companies for mid-sized transactions.
In 2000, InterFinanz and nine other partners founded Global M&A, today one of the world’s largest partnerships of independent M&A consultancies. With 37 hand-picked partners we are active in 44 countries across five continents and offer unlimited advice on cross-border company sales and acquisitions.
Many things have changed over the 50 years since our foundation: our company as well as the markets we are active in. But despite
technological progress and the globalisation of the economy, we keep to the principles that have convinced our clients for five decades now.
As a mid-sized consulting firm, we attach great importance to experienced consultants who personally attend to you from the first
contact until the successful completion of the project. On this basis, independence and confidentiality, flexibility and a focus on success
are not empty phrases for us, but daily practice.
